Colin Carpenter
Last week travelling between Trowbridge and Frome when I thought I heard a motorcycle next to me. Nope ! Suddenly a A400m appears in the windscreen at about 100 ft. It was really quiet! Seemed huge at that height! 😱😱😱😂Colin
leccyflyer
Not over the house, but at the club field yesterday we were treated to several circuits by a RANS S7 Courier, who gave us a good close look. At first approach we thought it might be a Piper Cub, but sadly not.
GrumpyGnome
Personally, I think that's much more interesting than a Cub.... lovely clear photo
leccyflyer
I think it might make a decent model TBH. I do wonder if the pilot might be a club member, or perhaps an ex-member, given the number of circuits. I got some nice in-flight pictures and I'd bet the pilot would quite like to see them.

The G-INFO website run by the CAA should give you the current owners name and address.
leccyflyer
Yep, I checked there right after posting and I think I have a means of getting the pictures to the pilot. 🙂
Peter Miller
While flying this afternoon we were visited by a Spitfire. This is not uncommon as the Duxford one comes round quite often. However whent I check the photo (almost a silhouette) I see that it has American markings.
leccyflyer
Heard the sound of multiple jet engines and looked out but didn't see anything, due to clouds. On checking ADS-B a formation of 3 KC-135 Stratotankers on a mission - set off from RAF Mildenhall, turned round over Skye then headed for the North Sea, where they have now split up. Yesterday we had another USAF C130 at very low level ~200ft - which landed out at Leucars, following last week's low level Herky Bird sightings. Quite a sight watching them come and go under full afterburner in the evenings. I'm surprised there aren't more scale models of them. GrumpyGnome
While I was flying on Tuesday, what looked like an Antanov AN12 did a circuit over us....... quite surprised. Prior to that, a flying chum got VERY excited when the light aircraft he has a share of flew overhead!

No - just 800feet up so we get a lot fly by low ... often we look down on the top wings of things going past or stuff just sceams across in front of us .. these are both from my back garden😁

perttime
In recent days: more F/A-18s than usual. F-15 (6 is the most I saw at one time), Gripens, and some sort of an Airbus tanker. Not sure if it is RAF or RCAF.

John Lee
Out for a walk a couple of miles from my house on the Wirral banks of the Mersey. It was enhanced by an RAF Poseidon doing circuits at Liverpool and a Beluga out of Hawarden passing low overhead.

David P Williams
When I worked at Spanhoe airfield the boss had one of these. Always entertaining calling airfields with “Focke Wolf 149 inbound”. Usually got a pause then “Er - say again?”
