I once worked as a Christmas temp in John Lewis during a period of redundancy just to get a bit of income whilst looking for a permanent job.

One day a customer returned a nativity set because there was a piece missing. She explained this by saying that she was "One king short of a nativity". Personally I thought she was quite intelligent, but she should know.
