Pick a Plane 2011

Recommended Posts

Hello All.

How about some Swedish ''Heavy Metal''

I think that if Mr Nijhuis will pot a lot of work on a new build project I think it wold be a aircraft that are little different that you can buy as a ARF.

Here are my suggestions of some not common but interesting aircraft.

1. Saab J21A .HERE
2. FFVS J22 .HERE

3. Saab S18 B18. HERE

4. Handley Page Hampden P5 .HERE

will se what airccraft that will win but as I said I hope it will be something interesting and unusual.

Not been done as yet, apart from silverlit as far as I know

I think that it would a great project and certainly a Model of Interest at any club or show>>

For a complete challenge based on size alone:

1 . Russian ANTONOV 225 - super heavy cargo jet with six engines - large enough to carry a space shuttle on its back.

2. Airbus A600ST Beluga - designed as a flying truck, carge being loaded through a lift up door at the front (carge door lifts up from the nose section) while the crew flight deck slots in underneath

3. Canadair - CL415 - The worlds only firefighting plane that is amphibious.

Hi,

I enjoy the "warbird" theme and would like to see it continue with 70" + wingspans:

1. Mosquito, Mk VI
2. FW 190 - "butcher bird"
3. P40 - Warhawk

The Mosquito is a classical British design in term of its sheer design elegance & the underlying "in your face in times of adversity" personality it represents.  The fact that this can be made as a "club" twin (IC/electric) makes this even more compelling.

Regards,
Lionel
