They have partly done it - the mini-league shows the original, pre objection points. But your team breakdown will still be wrong.

... sorry, but I don't understand it... I mean the siuation remains 'grey' here at Fantasy.

In my breakdown points, Alonso still remains at 0 for race and bonus points...

Some patience needed once more... especially with GP stuff...

Evenin' all!

Moving on for the moment from the Red Bull penalty and the 'adjustments' to last weekend's results,  it's Mexico this weekend.  And again it's a late start for us on this side of the pond. So first;

Don't forget your predictions!

P2 is underway now - or at least it would be if it hadn't been red-flagged due to Leclerc stuffing his car backwards into the barriers.  But he's out of the car and ok.  Up to now, Russell had fastest time in P2, nearly a second faster than Tsunoda, with Ocon and Hamilton next.  But there's still about 2/3 of the session still to run.

P1 saw a Ferrari 1-2 with Sainz ahead of Leclerc.  The Red Bulls were next, with Perez ahead of Verstappen, then Hamilton and Alonso.  All pretty close though with less than 0.2 seconds separating the top 6.

P3 is at 6pm (BST) tomorrow, ahead of qualifying at 9pm.  After the clocks go back,  Sunday's race is at 8pm (UTC/GMT)

Good luck everyone!

I've delayed hitting the "Submit Reply" button, as once again with a late-in-the-day race the UK Ch.4 hightlights have only just started...

So,  the usual warning/disclaimer - If you're watching the Ch.4 recorded highlights,  and don't want to know the results,  then please read no further!  (And indeed,  browsing the web is probably not a great idea if you don't want to stumble across the results anyway!)

So first up, here are our scores from Mexico;

Pos League
Rank
Team Manager Pts
1 1 0 Igoronic racing iqon 125
2 3 1 Essex Racing Tony Clark 124
3 9 0 PSS Power Flyer 122
4 4 0 Pitts Specials john stones 122
5 2 1 GASTON Formula Chris McG 118
6 10 1 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 117
7 5 0 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 113
8 8 0 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 111
9 6 0 Revers Racing Pete B 110
10 14 0 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 103
11 11 1 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 102
12 7 0 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 98
13 15 0 Hans Brake Zoonie 88
14 12 0 Torque of the devil Stu 85
15 13 0 teewrex John Tee 71

A fairly small range in the scores today,  and first place goes to Iqon on 125 points.

Just one point behind is Tony who takes second place with 124 points.

Scoring 122 points each, Ade and John S share 3rd,  although the results show them 3rd and 4th.

Well done to today's top 3 (or 4!)

Moving next to the overall table after today;

Pos League
Rank
Team Manager Pts
1 1 0 Igoronic racing iqon 2873
2 2 1 GASTON Formula Chris McG 2778
3 3 1 Essex Racing Tony Clark 2759

5 5 0 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 2485
6 6 0 Revers Racing Pete B 2426
7 7 0 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 2359
8 8 0 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 2317
9 9 0 PSS Power Flyer 2297
10 10 1 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 2289
11 11 1 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 2275
12 12 0 Torque of the devil Stu 2207
13 13 0 teewrex John Tee 2071
14 14 0 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 2051
15 15 0 Hans Brake Zoonie 2033

Iqon (not surprisingly as today's highest scorer!) holds on to top spot.

But there's a "change" indicated as Chris moves up to second above Tony.  Except that - as far as I can see - that's only a change compared to the first revision of the USA points,  and not to the results after the second revision following the overturning of Alonso's penalty.  So Chris was really already second, and Tony has actually closed the gap to Chris by 6 points today!

The other place change today is Charles taking 10th from Kev.

Next up is Brazil in 2 weeks time,  and then the season finalé in Abu Dhabi the week after.

For the second time this season I did my predictions and then either didn't save them or Fantasygp had a glitch as they were logged as not entered in the results. Must take more care next time. At least two predictions right so would have had a better score than 71.

getting lower in the league but may just stay off bottom.

John, you really must avoid to ask 'pertinent' questions... ??? ... this is Formula One, you know...   🙃

Regarding the strat team, I guess it is just a 'short-term-lease'? ...

As far as on-track-performance, they have just exchanged/switched their respective Performance Managers...  😉

  • 2 weeks later...

Evening all!

Brazil this weekend,  and it's a Sprint weekend.

P1 saw Red Bull taking 1st and 3rd, Ferrari 2nd and 4th, with Mercedes 5th and 6th. The order was Perez, Leclerc, Verstappen, Sainz, Hamilton and Russell.  But only 0.004 seconds sepating the top 2, and the same margin between 2nd and 3rd.  And the top 6 times were covered by just over 0.2 seconds.

The next session was the qualifying for tomorrow's Sprint race,  and here Magnussen grabbed pole from Verstappen with Russell 3rd. Norris, Sainz, Ocon and Alonso followed,  with Hamilton 8th.

So,  the timely reminder;

Don't forget your predictions!

P2 is tomorrow at 15:30 GMT/UTC,  with the Sprint race at 19:30.  The race on Sunday is at 18:00.

With the Channel 4 highlights now coming to a close,  let's have a look at how we all scored in today's race;

Topping today's chart with an impressive 185 points is GrumpyGnome.

Second, and 32 points behind, with 153 points is Pete B.

And third today with 140 points is Tony.

Well done to today's top 3!

Looking now at how this affects the overall table;

Pos League
Rank
Team Manager Pts
1 1 0 Igoronic racing iqon 2972
2 2 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 2908
3 3 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 2899

13 13 0 teewrex John Tee 2166
14 14 0 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 2148
15 15 0 Hans Brake Zoonie 2143

No changes to any positions in the top half of the table - Iqon is still in first, with Chris second and Tony third.

Looking a little further down though, Charles and Kev have both moved up a place to 9th and 10th respectively,  displacing Ade to 11th.

All other positions remain unchanged.

Next up is the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.  This is next weekend,  and as an evening race is at 'normal' European times (ie. early afternoon!)

Looking at our table, there's still quite a few battles to be fought.  Iqon looks relatively secure in top spot - 64 points ahead of Chris.  But Chris is probably looking nervously over his shoulder at Tony,  just 9 points adrift...   A little further down, Pete is sneaking up on Simon - just a 3-point gap there!  And Kev is just 6 points behind Charles, but only 19 points ahead of Ade.  Finally, I have Zoonie just 5 points behind me,  but John T possibly in reach,  just 18 points ahead of me.

Lots of places to play for next week!

Well done GrumpyG, Pete & Tony...

Despite my team doing an acceptable job, with just half a prediction right here in Brasil, I can only blame myself.

No point of getting nervous though, I think Tony can close that small gap with ease.

Ceasar would say "Alea iacta est"... AD here we come...

Cheers

Chris

Chris either of us could slip up, hard to make a call on final placings.

You're entirely right, Tony.

On the other hand, ending second is the first 'losing' place...

In Belgium, we call that 'doing a Poulidor'.

Back in the days, Poulidor was a French cyclist who very often finished a cycle race second behind Belgian Eddy Merckx...

But i'll manage to remain on the podium, I guess...

Cheers

Evening all!

Here we are at the season finalé - Abu Dhabi.  So, for the final time in 2022, the customary reminder;

Don't forget your predictions!

P1 saw a Mercedes 1-2, though in the opposite order to last weekend's race.  Hamilton was 0.22 s quicker than Russell,  with Leclerc only 0.035 s slower.  Perez was 4th ahead of rookie Lawson in Verstappen's car.  Lawson was one of eight reserve drivers in P1, driving in the second of their sessions this year, as mandated by the 2022 regulations.

P2 was run under conditions closer to the likely qualifying and race conditions,  and with the 'rookie' drivers replaced by the 'regular' drivers.  Verstappen set fastest time, 0.341 s ahead of Russell.  Leclerc was, again, 3rd with Hamilton 4th, Perez 5th and Sainz 6th.

P3 is at 10:30 GMT/UTC tomorrow for those who want to wait before setting their predictions.  Qualifying is at 14:00,  with Sunday's race at 13:00.

Good luck everyone!

No changes in the top half of the table today.

So our overall winner for 2022 is Iqon!

Chris holds on to second.

And Tony finishes third,  just 8 points adrift.

Well done to our season's top three! 🍾

There's a few changes in the lower half of the table...

Ade moves up 2 places to 9th,  just 3 points ahead of Charles in 10th. Kev slips to 11th just 8 points behind Charles.

At the foot of the table I have managed to grab last place back from Zoonie - another 3-point margin!

We now have just over three months until we start all over again in Bahrain on 5 March 2023.

Hello all,

A very big thank you to John P once more.   👍  🏁

Congrats to John S, Tony and... me (!?) for this final race podium.

As I kept my season's final second place, I suppose I'm the one who 'll be called Chris 'Poulidor' McG...

Anyhow, I'll survive it long enough to meet you all here next season...

Cheers

Chris
