Paul Johnson 4
Just noticed Elmo 'Adjusting' Ron's Tempests Propellor, I'd check that before your next flight.....
RICHARD WILLS
Dont underestimate the Muppet crew , they are probably more capable than the humans . Sweep was pretty forthright in his comments when Graham R's 109 failed to start ............

Great shot, but there was 7 or 8 of us up in the sky at the same time, anyway there plenty of room between them! My pilot spent most of his looking for the Tempest to drop on to his tail 🙂 3

Everyone knows that the RAF used to dope red linen patches over the Spitfire and Hurricane .303 Browning machine gun ports, but that's the first time I've seen the Bf109G with a red and yellow sleeve covering the outboard 20mm cannon 😉

Sorry Ron, no I was having the weekend off, I had promised a couple of peeps I would try and get some shots of their models, but I didn't want to spend the whole weekend behind the lens, I only had one day. Sorry.....

Glenn Philbrick
Just a gentle hint! 😇My repairs and maintenance is up to date, my bench is empty looking for a winter build. Is the mossie likely to be in Santa's sack? 🤗

Is the mossie likely to be in Santa's sack? 🤗 Best have a read of the Bf110 thread, I won't say waiting because IMO no one is actually waiting for the UC to be delivered. Delivery will be when Richard is happy with the design and its been tested to his satisfaction so with only Eric making progress to date its not a problem for the Bf110 build group. Technically the entire Bf110 could be finished before the UC turns up! Richard might have a spare Bf110 kit you could purchase and build while you wait for the Mossie as that's further down the list of things to do I expect. With a Bf110 in the stable you will be in the position which side of the fence you want to fly from
Paul Johnson 4
A quick progress on the Mosquito work, due to work on the 110 U/C we still have a long way to go. The nacelle has to be made as a complete item to which the wing section is cut. This will then be cut further into two halves lengthwise, the wing taper creates an inner and outer profile for the nacelle. Again due to its length, which is too big for the Vacform that the kit cutter has, it will be needed to be cut to be able to fit and be practical to assemble. These parts Have to be 3D printed as a solid part to be used to create a mold plug. Oh and don't forget a mirror of these for the other side! Paul Johnson 4
For all those who have a 3D printer and rely on thingy verse or grab cad and wanted to try to create your own extras for your models. I use Freecad an open source (free) package. It, as with all cad packages, seems daunting. I thought so too, till I found this guy on YouTube MangoJelly He takes you through all you need, in baby steps, to create the embellishments for your models. With a little patience and time you'll be surprised at what you can do...
leccyflyer
Thanks Paul - will have to give that a try. I've been taking some baby steps using Tinkercad recently, mostly for cockpit detail and suchlike but something with a bit more capability would be good to try. I'm afraid that my attempts to use Fusion 360 have not been successful. The experts make it look so easy, but I've realy struggled to make any significant progress. In Tinkercad I was able to design this simplified instrument panel and control yoke for my Anson, building on what I'd learned in creating the simplified side panels for my Beaufighter cockpit. This is exactly the sort of thing that I got a 3D printer for.
