kevin b
Has anybody else noticed the weather forecast as from Thursday ? We haven't had any decent flying weather around us for months, never mind weeks !
Martian
I noticed heavy outbreaks of COVID breaking out all over the UK and we'll everywhere .
Dwain Dibley.
It is ironic Kevin, but I will use the time to ride my bike, and get some miles in. D.D.

Peter Miller
The weather here is East Anglia is great if a bit chilly. 5 of us are going flying this afternoon.
Matt Carlton
I can concur. Norfolk is currently clear blue skies, light winds and frost! Unfortunately I am stuck indoors constructing a meeting agenda and typing up reports for DEFRA. 🥺
GrumpyGnome
Light breeze, bright skies and frost here on East Yorks coast. Been having fun with my dlg and umx f16. Got a bootful of other models to make most of last day for a while. Happy flying and stay safe. GG

Colin Carpenter
4 of us in deepest Somerset at 9 am. Perfect conditions but low suns a pain on left side. Had 6 up on UMX ✈️and 1 🚁fly. Few problems for others with lipos going down in temp and Rx aerials breaking off. No bin liners tho !😂😂😂😂
Steven S
We have had minus zero temps and snow for the last three weeks. Now this week we are in the mid teens, the snow has disappeared and it's going up to 18°C today. The problem is our Canadian province, Manitoba, went to Code Red or high Covid alert on Monday and that has closed our flying field.

J D 8
Beautiful day here on the West Wales coast . Sun shine, only the slightest wind and even a bit warm. A rare day at this time of year. After sorting some shed roof repairs following last weeks storms I had time for some radio assist flying with the Cardinal. On the forth flight I let it climb and climb until a dot in the sky Lovely and cheering.
Martin Harris - Moderator
I'd imagine that you're in a fairly small minority in having your flying field within your own property - shame you can't have a few mates round! We certainly had a superb afternoon in the South East on Wednesday as a last hurrah to our club site for the next four weeks (or more) - I took advantage of the conditions to fly a selection of models and finally managed to get my veteran Sterling Stearman in the air for the first time this year - such a rewarding model to fly in the excellent conditions with the engine puttering away at scale speeds. GrumpyGnome
That is idyllic JD8. Only downside is no runway I guess. Fist day of lockdown here in East Riding was calm in the a.m. so I flew my blade heli in the garden. Was going to give the Vapor an outing but a very slight breeze arrived and scuppered that plan! Stay safe GG
Peter Miller
Posted by Doc Marten on 04/11/2020 10:40:06: I believe it's the temperate climate which the UK has, sometimes hot, sometimes cold, sometimes wet, sometimes dry in no particular order...... It has been said that Britain does NOT have a climate...just weather
J D 8
Yes Martin I am lucky to be able to fly at home, something I do a fair bit as it's a 70ml round trip to the club flying field so when I go it is for the day. As you guessed GrumpyGnome coastal land is steep and rocky so it's hand launch or STOL types. Spot where pic taken is also good for some slope flying in a North [BRR] wind. Some times I sit in the Land Rover to fly. 2.4 made this practical. Having decent flying weather is mostly what we all need.
