Andy Stephenson
I should probably transfer my complaint here. Every time I change pages in a thread, I get a blank screen. This has happened in the last few days due to some change in the forum software. Other users are also complaining about this. The only remedy to this is to hit the refresh button, whereupon the requested page appears. This is not a satisfactory solution.

Andy Stephenson
It's still happening here. I've looked through all the settings on my browser and I can't find anything that solves the problem.
Nigel R
Happens on pc and mobile devices for me. Home broadband as well as mobile data.
Martin Harris - Moderator
Interesting. I’ve tried to reproduce the problem on a number of browsers and devices since it was reported and can’t! While it seems likely to be a forum problem, I wonder if it’s provider related due to page caching issues or similar? I’m with BT - is anyone else on the same supplier getting the symptoms? leccyflyer
I'm with BT, Windows 10, Google Chrome and have been getting this problem since first reporting it.
leccyflyer
To clarify - I don't get a blank screen, I get a single advert, or link to another site. The other symptoms are the same - if I refresh by clicking on the browser bar I eventually get to my destination,
J D 8
An advert for personal number plates [not anything that interests me] came up this morning as I swopped pages, had to go off post to get rid.
David Ovenden
PC, Windows10, Chrome or Edge. Same problem. Also the same problem when using my Samung phone and tablet. Problems only appeared for me when the adverts started.
EarlyBird
PC, Windows10, Edge and no Add Blockers. All works without any issues.
Andy Stephenson
Windows 10 Firefox browser, no ad blocker. The problem started happening when adverts appeared. If I use Brave browser the problem goes away but so does my security system as Brave doesn't support it. This suggests that it's something security software flags as malware. Caveman
I'm also having the same 'advert' problem. What's concerning is that despite several days now of discussion about the problem there has been no feedback from anyone 'in authority' to say either, why it's happening, or what's been done to investigate it. Of particular concern is the inability to move backwards through threads without either an advert appearing and blocking any further movement, or just a blank page. Have the mods addressed this with Morton? GDB

Ron Gray
Same for me John, sign out and it works fine. The font also changes, much smaller when logged out. Edited April 9, 2023 by Ron Gray
Dickw
Can you still post when not logged in? Edited April 9, 2023 by Dickw
Ron Gray
Yes and register later if you are a new 'poster' but you have to enter you email addy so if that already exists you will have to sign in to have your post associated with your account. For a new poster it also needs to be approved by the mods. Edited April 9, 2023 by Ron Gray

No, but it makes reading easier if you need to use page shift, issues have been flagged but mods have no news yet.
Andy Stephenson
You also can't see which threads you've read if signed out.
Dickw
Seems like it is easier to stay logged in and just put up with having to "refresh" when changing pages - which I now have to do on both PC and mobile! Dick

PDB
12 minutes ago, Andy Stephenson said: I don't have Edge, what is Edge? If running an updated version of Windows 10 you do have it. Edge is the inbuilt internet browser in Windows 10 since Internet Explorer was retired in June last year. There are numerous ways of starting it as documented at https://www.digitalcitizen.life/start-microsoft-edge/ Curious to see if your problem is related to Firefox. Edited April 9, 2023 by PDB .
