Yes both in the Hanger (but you cannot leave LiPo's charging unattended) and just behind the flightline outside on the Barn wall where you can.

Excellent. Weather looks promising so I’m hoping to do some gentle flying!

Well, having made the 150 mile trip and checked over all my gear, I just discovered I have no paper proof of BMFA membership for 2024 other than a sheet of stickers 🤣 I don't  even know my membership number 🙄 Despite renewing my membership online I like to print a copy in case of issues at my local club. Anyway, it seems I left it on my desk at home. I have my achievement certs though. I'm hoping that, since we are at BMFA HQ, someone can verify my current membership status from a few personal details. Tall, grey and handsome should do it.

Don't think I've ever been asked at Buckminster. You can also download all your membership details to your phone now, and keep your "membership card" in your "wallet".

I'll be there Sat with a WR 190, a part built WR Tempest / Sea Fury and a Fillons Champion built from a Belair short kit  - Looking fwd to meeting you all

Very interested to see your Sea Fury. I actually thought about doing it the other way round and doing a Sea Fury off the FW190. Don’t think I knew the Tempest was going to be a thing at the time.

Superb day today at Buckminster. The site was immaculate (well done to the team of volunteers) and the flying conditions absolutely superb with cloudless blue skies and light winds in the morning (albeit a tad cool). The runway was like a bowling green and Ron did a great job of flightline marshalling. Loads of amazing models there, but the highlight was putting faces to names and meeting so many fellow forumites - especially the Warbirds Replica crowd ! Well done all - hope you have another great day tomorrow

Great day and great display from Chris Walby and Ron. Was a bit windy but it didn’t stop the flying . Even some great WW1 formations and of course the full Warbirds replicas fleet. Was great to meet quite a few forum members in the very friendly atmosphere, and I enjoyed flying my Chipmunk.

Yes, a great day out and really enjoyed meeting and chatting to the fellow forumites. I was too busy flying and talking to take many pictures but here's a general view of the pits in the morning, with my small selection (RV-4, Spitfire, Wot4 and Vulcan) in the foreground.

There were many superb models present (which I'm sure others will share photos of later) but I was quite taken by this giant KK Falcon, just 151" wingspan. Electric-powered with 2 large batteries, flight times were in excess of an hour!

Had a great day, great to finally meet so many people from this forum, really enjoyed the WW1 jamboree slots, flew my DR1 four times today and kept it on it`s wheels for all four landings, came home happy. Looking forward to some more fun tomorrow, Nutten Special and Broussard, both Laser powered and a DB Moth for some airtime.

I was very pleased I broke my trip to the frozen wastelands of the North (Cheshire) to visit today. Some very inspiring models, put faces to names for a fair few folks on here and joined a gaggle of other FW190 pilots for a bit of flying. I’ve never flown in a group of planes like that before - definitely a bit challenging but great fun!  Looking forward to building the next product of the Warbird Replicas hive mind.

Here’s a shot of some Warbird Replicas FW190s getting ready to fly. A big thank you to Ron for allowing me to use his extremely posh take-off dolly to get airborne!

I’d like to add my thanks to Ron Gray for organising the gathering of Laser powered aircraft – and anything else with a British connection. A couple of proving flights with the Chrislea Super Ace were enjoyed following its refurbishment; I also enjoyed meeting and chatting to some familiar stalwarts of the modelling fraternity.

This was my first visit to Buckminster and have to say I was impressed by the field and facilities, hopefully I’ll be allowed back another time.

Now I do feel like I missed out, having just got my little Pup back in the air for the first time in a year. I've really got the bug for WW1 subjects again. The money is currently sat in the bank for a 1/4 Camel, but threatened by an impending MOT.

Hopefully I'll be able to join in the Dawn Patrol next year.

If you have the mick reeves camel in mind be aware its a monster of a build. The balsa usa version would be much much easier, or there is the DB models Pup/se5a if a change of model is deemed acceptable.

Just how bad is it? I've looked through some build logs and the issues I can see are: soldering up the U/C, wire tail and TE on the wings. The rest mostly looks like standard built up frames over plans.
