Ron Gray
Very sad news indeed. He was a great guy and only too happy to help out when encountering problems with his builds or help with modifying them. He was generous to a fault and helped me out with plans, drawings and various articles. You will be missed PM.
RICHARD WILLS
As everyone has already said , Peter was a great asset to our hobby . He will be sadly missed . His legacy of his wonderful designs will carry on without him and bring many a smile . That is what he would have wanted . A great eccentric and character, lost from our boyish world. RIP Peter . Martin Harris - Moderator
Sad news. Always helpful, a true aviation enthusiast, a gentleman and a prolific designer - Peter will be missed by all who have built or flown his models. Perhaps one of next year’s events might be themed on his designs?
kevin b
I have communicated on quite a few occasions with Peter. He was always extremely encouraging with regards to modifying his designs and my interest in designing tmodels myself. Another wealth of experience has now been lost to us, but fortunately Peter was also keen to write it all down so that it wouldn't be lost completely. My condolences go to his friends and family, and my sympathies go to whoever his to sort out his collection of models etc !!! A character of the nicest kind. ☺️
Matt Carlton
Very sad to hear the news. I think it is not an understatement to say that Peter has had a hugely significant impact on RC modelling, especially in the UK. I have spoken with Peter personally on a few occasions and his willingness to help, support and engage were very much appreciated. I grew up with Peter's plans bluetacked on my bedroom wall and he was pivotal in inspiring me to continue with the hobby. Peters prolific output, character energy and humour are a fabulous legacy. Rest easy Peter, thankyou for everything you gave to us. Perhaps we should organise a "Peter Miller Memorial Day" at Buckminster or Old Warden. A fly in for PM designs, maybe a bbq, a couple of trophies like a "best finish" or "best crash" or something. kc
Certainly should have a Peter Miller day and perhaps a perpetual trophy too.
kc
Peter was designing less than a month ago......on Oct 13th he posted this on the Ohmen section ...... " I never mind what people do to my designs, it is also designing and people can improve on them in that way. What matters is that people have fun and enjoy what they do. I am designing an interesting model at the moment just to keep my mind working. It is the MW 9 Plank. Look it up on You Tube. If I don't make it I have a very experienced builder who says He will "one day". "

Robert Cracknell
Fitting tribute to someone who epitomised our hobby at the highest level. A wonderful legacy would be to have all his designs listed and available. I hope where you are going Peter the sun will always be on your back and the grass doesn't grow! Stephen Jones
Very sad to hear this today on FB, I never knew him personally nor met him in person but like many have spoken to him on here and admired many of his designs. Not sure if I have built one of his designs but was going to get started on one of his later this year I have the plan all ready and slowly gathering the bits to get started. Just remembered I have built one of his and its in my loft covered in dust. Balsa I shall have to dig it out. kc
A couple of years ago Peter posted this - seemingly serious comment- " Posted December 21, 2022 Well I am 85. I may not qualify for wings on the other side so in my workshop there is a set of wings with a big label which reads. "These wings are to be glued, screwed or nailed to my coffin lid" I am taking my wings with me in case!! " 8
