Very sad news indeed. He was a great guy and only too happy to help out when encountering problems with his builds or help with modifying them. He was generous to a fault and helped me out with plans, drawings and various articles.

You will be missed PM.

As everyone has already said , Peter was a great asset to our hobby . He will be sadly missed .

His legacy of his wonderful designs will carry on without him and bring many a smile .

That is what he would have wanted .

A great eccentric and character, lost from our boyish world.

RIP Peter .

I have communicated on quite a few occasions with Peter.

He was always extremely encouraging with regards to modifying his designs and my interest in designing tmodels myself.

Another wealth of experience has now been lost to us, but fortunately Peter was also keen to write it all down so that it wouldn't be lost completely.

My condolences go to his friends and family, and my sympathies go to whoever his to sort out his collection of models etc  !!!

A character of the nicest kind.  ☺️

Very sad to hear the news. I think it is not an understatement to say that Peter has had a hugely significant impact on RC modelling, especially in the UK. I have spoken with Peter personally on a few occasions and his willingness to help, support and engage were very much appreciated.

I grew up with Peter's plans bluetacked on my bedroom wall and he was pivotal in inspiring me to continue with the hobby.

Peters prolific output, character energy and humour are a fabulous legacy.

Rest easy Peter, thankyou for everything you gave to us.

Perhaps we should organise a "Peter Miller Memorial Day" at Buckminster or Old Warden. A fly in for PM designs, maybe a bbq, a couple of trophies like a "best finish" or "best crash" or something.

Peter was designing less than a month ago......on Oct 13th he posted this on the Ohmen section ......

"

I  never mind what people  do  to my designs, it is also designing  and people can improve on them in that way.

What matters is that people have fun and  enjoy  what they do.

I am designing an interesting model at the moment just to keep my mind working. It is the MW 9 Plank.  Look it up on You Tube.  If I don't make it I have a  very experienced builder who says He will "one day".        "

Best of British weekend at Bucko next August 1st - 3rd. I'm sure that I can fit in a PM designs slot.

Very sad to hear this today on FB,

I never knew him personally nor met him in person but like many have spoken to him on here and admired many of his designs.

Not sure if I have built one of his designs but was going to get started on one of his later this year I have the plan all ready and slowly gathering the bits to get started.

Just remembered I have built one of his and its in my loft covered in dust. Balsa

I shall have to dig it out.

RIP Peter

Oh, so sad. I've built 3 of his RC designs, all perfect flyers. 2 are my go to models, particularly Grumpy Tiger Cub -my favourite flyer.

Fly high Peter, condolences to family and friends. He will be sorely missed by the modelling community.

Such sad news. I have always looked forward to another great design and entertaining article from Peter appearing on the pages of RCM&E. Always simple, practical and great fliers, he has left behind a legacy of wonderful designs for us all to enjoy.

RIP Peter.

Sad news, I have built a number of Peters designs over the years and they all flew very well and straightforward to build. He has certainly left a legacy of excellent designs behind and a very nice chap as well, will miss his posts on the forum .

A couple of years ago Peter posted this - seemingly serious comment-

Well I am 85.

I may not  qualify for wings on the other side so in my workshop there is a set of wings with a big label which reads.

"These wings are to be glued, screwed or nailed to my coffin lid"

I am taking my wings with me in case!!
