RICHARD WILLS
Ron’s right on the motor front . Before you all start shelling out for new motors , tell us what you have in the spares box and between us we can work out the battery prop situation. can be much more flexible on this one thanks to two blade props being readily available in so many pitches.

Futura57
Sorry, I will have to bail on my desire for the FW190. I have acquired a nearly finished Brian Taylor BF110 for electric. Needs some work on pneumatic retracts, a nose hatch to load the Lipos plus a complete paint job. Hangar space is getting tight now.
DaveB1
Put me down for a FW190 please 😊
RICHARD WILLS
This is going to be fun once the ”accidental mass build” starts . As such a fast build we should get them all flying pretty quickly . Certainly all ready for the spring 😜
martin collins 1
Can we make these kits this years forum Mass build, how about we put it up on the 2023 mass build thread, there are enough of us committing to out vote anything else and it might jog a few others into ordering so they can join in?
martin collins 1
Looks like it would be the 2024 Mass build as the 2023 one was Peggy Sue 2 which was started at the end of last year so timing for the next one is about right.

john stones 1 - Moderator
You don't need to out vote anything else for a mass build, you've two models, all you need is the buyers to commit to a mass effort n Bobs yer builder.
martin collins 1
Started a thread suggesting it for the 2024 Mass build, may bring it to the attention of a few others. 3

Nightflyer
The Tempest is something I could be very tempted by seeing as I have an FW190 already plus a Tony Nijhuis one at some point. Tempest always has appealed.
John Timmis
Hi Richard, a couple of years ago I built a FW190 d. Enlarged from a Clive Smalley free plan to 48” span. It flew very well on 4 cells & always launched from a drop off dolly. Now needs some repairs. I’ve been a very good boy this year so I’m thinking of ordering the 190 & perhaps the Tempest too for Christmas. The big question for me is will my 4s 4000 lipo’s fit into the battery bay? Please say yes.
RICHARD WILLS
I would say yes . But if drop me a pm next week with the actual length I can say for sure . If not , I will suggest a small modification.

mightypeesh
Hi Richard, can you please add me to your growing list to buy a FW190 please, it looks great! Thanks, Simon
Graham Bowers
@RICHARD WILLS Please put me down for one of each. Do you need advance info on accessories please? Spinner, decals? Quite fancy doing the FW in the livery of a captured example BTW. Tempest will be in it's best Invasion suit !
RICHARD WILLS
Good question Graham. I have enough of the metal spinners for everyone and will get some decal sets in which we can modify to suit different squadrons . The main thing with the spinner is saving the postal cost of sending it in a separate box . Obviously it will go in the main box no problem.

RICHARD WILLS
John , Thanks for raising that question , because I'm sure a few others have been stroking their chins while browsing the battery mountain in the garage . Ive found a pack that is exactly your dimensions (145 x50 x25 ) . Goes in without mod or struggle . Ive shown a picture with the lid on . you'll have to take my word that it fits . If anyone wants to use longer than say a 150mm pack , then making a square hole in the second former where Ive shown the green tape , will give infinite options . I am going to suggest that rather than putting battery straps etc in , perhaps just precut pieces of foam to stop the battery moving will give more options in terms of you existing packs , but each to their own . The Tempest , although narrower will have an even deeper chin profile (Jimmy Hill , Bruce Forsyth, nice to see you etc ) so will also accommodate long 4s packs or two smaller 3s packs .

gillyg1
Richard 1)Are we going to see any pictures of the Tempest, and 190 as in finished articles, with weathering/ panel lines etc.? Or are they "work in progress" . 2) Do you think the tempest will stand conversion to i/c with retracts. Cheers Graham ( Cornwall)
