Actually, not as daft as it sounds! Some years ago, one of my cousins was having bad ankle problems. Having tried everything the doctor suggested, he tried rubbing in WD40 - which pretty much cured it very quickly! I asked him what the doctor said about it. Apparently the doc replied that although he wouldn't recommend it, if it worked for him, then carry on!
