David Ashby - Moderator
Self explanatory really. I must admit, as a Fuby user I've assembled quite a number of FrSky Rxs over the last few years and they've been fine, and saved me a packet. Bob Cotsford
as no-one makes clones of FrSky then yes, I do
Tim Hooper
Yup, Genuine Spekky all the way. Never a glitch, brownout, jitter in the last four years. I heard too many horror stories about cheap and nasty receivers of various hues that I thought it best not to risk my models for the sake of a few quid. tim
Dave Bran
My Vote............doesn't fit the poll................. 3 of Tx Spektrum - Never 3 of Tx Futaba (FASST) - not since FrSky nailed it (and not a moments cause for regret) 15 of Tx Futaba (35MHz) - Only where they came with the Tx. 1 of Tx Taranis - Yes of course, nobody has yet ripped them off 16 of Tx Planet - Yes, but only one Rx needed per Tx the way they are used. john stones 1 - Moderator
JR all jr rx's Taranis, all Frsky Rx's Would I use Frsky on my JR...as soon as I've bought a 2.4 module yes John
Myron Beaumont
I now have two Fuby Txs now that Frsky Rxs are available since the tranny only has very few model memories.
Gary Manuel
Sometimes. I have a JR Tx and have 14 (at the last count) ready to fly(ish) models. My larger 3 or 4 models are, and will always be fitted with JR Rx. The remainder are fitted with Orange full range Rx plus Satellite at 90 degree orientation. All with tried and tested fail-safe enabled. Never had a problem with any of them.
Vaughan Hider
Sometimes - it depends on the model and how much I have invested in it, for a cheap foamy to fly at the park I'm not too worried and will usually use a cheapy. I'm getting a 30cc gasser soon and that will use the manufacturer's RX just for peace of mind and reliability.
Doug Ireland
I have a DSX9 and a couple of branded receivers but the spectrum ones work for me too.

Martin Harris - Moderator
I answered "Yes- always" - but clones are not available for mine. Would I use one if there were compatibles? Possibly, but only for "toy" models. Back in 35 MHz days, I used Futaba or Multiplex IPD with my Futaba transmitters for anything of any size/value. cymaz
I use FrSky Rx's , very good,
Rob Dunn
Use specktrum RX's always make sure there are genuine one's as I have had to fakes and both ended is disaster. Always make sure I buy from known retailer now the cost doesn't bother me its better than the alternative.
IanN
Futaba FAAST. Bought a couple of the early Oranges but have only ever used them for bench testing or very small and light (i.e..kept close in) electric models. Never had a glitch with them, but just on "gut feel" I intuitively wouldn't use them in anything bigger. I use FrSkys but only bought from established well known retailer - no internet "bargains"
Bucksboy
I always use Hitec with my Aurora, it's part of the reason why I sold all my Futaba gear and moved to Hitec. Hitec receivers are/were cheaper than Futaba so I bit the bullet and swapped. They still are good value for money. Plus, there aren't too many replacements out there in the market to buy. Graham Bowers
Multiplex user and yes. I have about half a dozen Rx's and slightly fewer flyable models, so I rarely need to buy any. Jamie sawyer
I fly Futaba Fasst now on 2.4 ghz. A new Rx of futaba brand is about £60 where as an Orange Rx is about £18.... I used to fly all Futaba until this year and swapped to Orange....not had a problem yet !! and there 1/3rd of the cost.. I will be trying Frsky also at some point Jamie
Rich too
95% of the time I stick to Futaba. It does make me laugh though, loads of people on the forum deride those that use cheap servos (with no history of failures I might add) but will use cheap receivers themselves - go figure!! J V R
No need to use another make or look for a cheaper RX's with Frsky.............Genuine Frsky all the time.....
Peter Miller
Always with Spektrum and Hitec 2.4. Very rarely with Futaba 35 Mhz
Danny Fenton
Yes, not much choice with Jeti, but always did with JR anyway.
Steve Colman
I'm a Spektrum user. I use Spektrum Rx's in the majority of my models but do use cheapo orange Rx's in small foamies. Apart from being slow to bind at times, I've not had a problem with the cheapies.
David P Williams
Same as Steve. Some of my Oranges (especially with a sat) range check further than genuine Spektrums, but I still only use them for smallish foamies that I fly close in.
