I'm aiming for Saturday, too.  We're 50 miles away by road, less as the crow flies (WNW roughly) so the weather at home isn't likely to be much different so I'll make a suitable judgement.  I admit SLEC's attendance is a big draw as it saves postage (though not fuel 🙂 )

You get to select your balsa which is a bonus .

The weather forecast looks favourable for flying Saturday & Sunday. I'm still not sure if I can or want to make the 300+ mile round trip. Plan A was to travel up today (Friday) and bring a 1 man tent. I have to resort to plan B now and find a reasonably priced B&B for Friday & Saturday night. Any suggestions or recommendations please while I trawl T'internet?

Anyone have a comfy sofa I could sleep on 🤣

Ok, I'm booked and committed.

Unfortunately there are a still a couple of minor mods necessary on my Strange Quark EDF model. I shall bring it along but will be unable to fly it on this occasion. Just a Top Quark and KK Student to fly.

A bit on the breezy side today but a couple of brave souls got some flights in. Great trade presence with superb stands, SLEC (feat Tony N), Inwood Models, Fighter Aces, Modern Vintage Models, Warbirds Replicas, Southern Modelcraft.

It looks like tomorrow is going to be an excellent day for flying, and if today is anything to go by, jawing too.

Cafe is doing a great trade and I’ve already booked my breakfast for tomorrow and Sunday and I’ve gone ‘large’ on the basis that Elmo needs feeding up.

I'd of liked to have come a flown the British gyro flag but presumed it was a fixed wing fly-in.

Have just had confirmation it is multi discipline event. A bit late in the day for me as I've made other arrangements but a heads up for anyone who wants to fly something British that's not a FW.

Looks like it's going to be a good couple of days flying  gents, don't forget to post plenty of photos.
