On the right, top right pair of bought turbine wheels and cast NGV ,part ground main shaft and machined compressor wheel 2014 aluminium , Pair of machined inconel wheels . All for KJ 66 type engine. Peter Garsden
Flamingo 3.5 metre Scale Glider from the Chris Williams Sarik Plan and short kit which includes the canopy. This appeared as a Free Plan in RCM&E. Chris has been very helpful answering my queries throughout the build. Also of use, however, are a selection of photos he supplies free of charge, and the article which appeared in the magazine. I have a scanned in copy in case anyone wants it. This is a true scratch build balsa bash. It uses eliptical formers which are overlaid with .8mm ply for the fuselage, which was something I had never attempted before and employed a lot of kettle steam. Looking forward to maidening next week hopefully.
Paul Marsh
Not been on here a while and a few new aircraft for my hanger. Durafly T28 Trojan , Arising Star trainer, i got cheap, with a brand new radio set 35mhz and new SC46 engine. used a old GP42 instead. Next is a CG Chipmunk with ASP 70fs and Hanger 9 P47 Thunderbolt with a OS90 FS.
stu knowles
This has been lockdown build. I can't remember ever completing a model in around eight weeks. I have quite enjoyed a 'sports model' build, being freed from the tyranny of a scale build with simple hinges, no retracts or wing fillets 9
Nick Cripps
Very nice, Stu. I've got a SeaStormer in build but mine has taken about 8 years so far! Hopefully it will be finished in the next few months ready for the summer waterplane events.

stu knowles
Power is supplied by an OS 91 FX. I haven't actually weighed it but it should be 'adequate' Also my first use of HK film. I dislike Solarfilm intensely, I found it a wrestle to get on and then it always looks tatty after a seasons use. I found that this film needed a lot more heat than previous films but otherwise it went on well. It seems well stuck down but time will tell on that score. Jonathan M
13" Peanut Scale DH80A Puss Moth, Jim Mollison's "The Heart's Content" (1932 solo Atlantic from east to west). My first own design, flying weight 11g (8.5g airframe plus 1.5g rubber plus 1g lead in nose). First outdoor trim flights 42 secs, aspire towards 60 secs indoors (which under the rules means 50 secs plus 10 secs ROG bonus). 12

Trevor
This link is to a page in our club’s online Newsletter, showing 21 Lockdown models awaiting their maiden flights. They are an eclectic mix of own designs, plan builds, kit builds and re-builds, with the odd ARTF thrown in. Depron, plastic, foam and 3D printing all get a look in but I’m pleased to say that traditional balsa bashing is still very well represented. Maidens Awaited I can’t guarantee that all the modellers are forum members though, so sorry if I’ve bent the rules! Trevor
