ken anderson.
there must be a few thousand different phone,pc's,tablets etc who access the forum...and most are reporting the same problem, when you click to go back a page or to the first page of a thread you get a blank page with an advert for the header....so i reckon its the forum at fault ...not peoples settings...it all worked ok until a couple of weeks ago....we shouldn't need to refresh the page... ken anderson...ne...1..blank page dept.
Graham R
It happens to me also.
GrumpyGnome
I'd dispute 'most' are having problems. It's much more likely that the majority of people do not have a problem - there is no reason to make a post saying 'it works for me'. However, that's only relevant for whoever decides whether or not to spend money investigating, and fixing the issue It is unlikely to be individual forumite settings, and much more likely to be an issue with some element of the forum software or platform, which affects multiple, but not all, users. Dark Theme is a likely candidate given previous comments.

Ace
You know when one of those little irritating niggles just gets more and more annoying every time it occurs - well that dam blank page with the RCM&E banner whenever you change page forwards/backwards is REALLY REALLY annoying particularly as a mag subscriber. Now I appreciate there must be many formites who are not mag subscribers and Morton's want to convert them, so must by now be a conscious decision not to sort it out but come on you are seriously irritating this supporter. GBG
I am not finding this problem. I can go forward and back with no problems.
leccyflyer
The problem only manifests itself if using the -much nicer IMHO - dark theme, It isn't there in the default theme.
RedBaron
I must own up to using other forums both R/C and other interests and I do not encounter any problems such as we encounter here with them? It would be interesting to know what the real causative agent is? On a slightly different subject I have just received my renewal notice for RCM&E urging me to Hurry as I have 0 issues left, it would be nice to have a little longer warning. This caused me to look more closely at the renewal notice, yes price up again, the notice was dated March 23 2023!!! I guess basic lack of checking. Also I see that the penalty for not allowing Morton to do direct debit is £5 essentially 10%!!! I do not welcome others dibbing into my bank account so I have to pay the 10% penalty or give up the subscription!!!!!!!!!! 10% penalty does seem out of all proportion. leccyflyer
Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is a link Themes beneath the Facebook logo.
GrumpyGnome
Yup, all issues seem to be dark scheme related. I gave up on that a number if months ago.... probably little point in Morton spending money to fix it - hopefully, next time 'the bonnet is up' in this area, it'll get fixed. Re not welcoming banks 'dibbing into' bank accounts, it's very very safe and you are 100% protected... safer than using an ATM for example. One week ago I received my renewal conformation after I sent them a cheque (remember those) simply because I have a dislike for any automatic renewals. Yes the blank page and banner is when using the IMO must easier to read darker large print format. May or may not be in the minority but still ruddy annoying 🤬 Edited May 17, 2024 by Ace

leccyflyer
If you switch to the default theme instead of the darker theme the issue goes away. You then just need to live with the tiny text.

Ron Gray
It would appear that the problems are due to my club’s website being too large! There is now a redirect so this forum should now improve - soz https://bmfc.bmfa.club
