Eric Robson
Late last year I bought a SLEC balsa stripper . it arrived just before the balsa shortage announcement. Needless to say it is still in it's box.

Andy Stephenson
The SLEC balsa stripper never worked for me because as soon as the cut goes wavy (and they always did) then all the other following cuts go the same way.

Andy Stephenson
Eric, I use a band saw, it actually strips balsa and other things and it's all straight. A. Edited By Andy Stephenson on 05/01/2021 00:34:
SIMON CRAGG
Where to start? A cheap drill sharpener - wore out the grinding wheel first time I tried it. AA battery voltage checker - according to its gauge, every battery was always perfect. A cheap band saw - took up to much room - could never get it to cut straight. Loads more "must have" items that were usually hopeless!.
Roger Jones 3
!) A 'drone' licence. 2) An Apple iPad. 3) A fishing licence. Now 25 quid a year and doesn't grant you permission to fish anywhere - that has to come from the landowner. I have gone fishing a lot for 60 years and nobody has ever asked me to show it Edited By Roger Jones 3 on 05/01/2021 06:10:

Basil
Andy, you say you use a band saw to strip balsa. What blade do you use. Never thought of that as I thought the speed/coarseness of the blade would just make mince, eat of the balsa. Bas
