cymaz
Saturday was lovely..little or no wind. Even the midges were out, ouch. Couple of flights with the Wot4XL until the Dle started to play up. I suspect it’s and air leak from one of the gaskets between the carb and Reed block

Colin Carpenter
First time in 9 weeks at 9 this morning. Lovely frost , blue sky and no wind. Flew 2 UMX planes. Lipos on 1 would only run 50% of time. Been in cold shed since early November and they were in hot water bottle blanket but heh ho !😭😭😭Left before thaw. David Davis 2
That's a nice looking Baron Paul. There are still six places available for La Coupe Des Barons on 10th June. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uXBC4Uyuny8VqkfEB-zcFlN5mY6-tjjZyVIa3F_1l04/edit#gid=2109958464

Colin Yeah, I've taken to storing my EDF lipos in the house; or on top of the computer which always emits heat..... my poor little Hawk was only getting about 30secs of power a few weeks ago. Colin Carpenter
Loath to bring lipos into house. In a normal winter an oil rad would be on low in shed , but not this year cos ££££££😱😱! I do bring them in overnight in a lipo safe bag after charging but SWMBO gives me hell ! 😂😂😂😂😂
leccyflyer
Smashing day at the field today - literally in some cases. Started off great not a breath of wind, blue sky with a light high overcast and lovely conditions. Threw the PZ SE5a around the sky - brilliant fun, followed by the Volantex Zero. Got the repaired and refinished Magnatilla out for a photoshoot and drama free low key fly around. This model doesn't do much, other than potter round the sky, in a similar manner to the Atilla that I used to fly years ago. Very happy with how the model looks in the air now, with the Cameo-cut markings. Photo credits Derek Robertson for the Magnatilla. Later on I struck the very top of one of the electric fence posts landing my Hurricane- shattered the u/c door, tore an aileron off on the wire, broke the leading edge and snapped the aileron servo shaft. Only realised later that I really should have used the flaps Then switching to my spare PZ| Spitfire for another flight chasing Derek's Ripmax Bf109e before inexplicably losing power and going in quite hard, outside the strip - pulled the wing through the mounting plate, snapped the fuselage in half and whipped off the underwing radiator, All repairable, but, as AVM Park would have said "That should damned well never have happened". On reflection I think I hit the throttle cut switch. Again. Lots of other fun stuff going on - red kites vying with four gliders for the bit of lift on offer. Mike's lovely big scratch built glider tug moving to parachuting duties and lots of blether in the warm sunshine. Marvellous day.

leccyflyer
Thanks. 🙂 It was very plain when I got it, but a moment's inattention led to a rebuild of the tail end - I didn't have any of the correct shade of blue Solartex, so went for a contrasting Cub yellow instead.
GrumpyGnome
Yeah, lovely on Yorks East Coast as well - few more fuss-free and enjoyable flights on the Valiant, now I have reinstated the mixes that I managed to lose..... with a 90 FS it really is a perfect match. Ruckus continues to challenge me - back to basics with throttle geometry and pressure testing tank I think. IC continues to perplex and delight me in equal measures; 2 leccy models came to the field in case of issues, but didn't get any air time. Had some company with 'old Kev' getting more and more used to his beautiful H9 Mustang. And chucking his World Models Supper Chippie around like a shocky! A good day.
