Richard Harris
This is not a new model but a total refurb of my Rex which was built 15 years ago so worthy of posting here. A total recover, new blades and electronics. It's had a small trimming flight and I hope to completely sort it over the weekend. Takes a little longer to nail as it has 2 blades and no horizontal stabiliser. Edited September 27, 2024 by Richard Harris

Cliff Bastow
Finally managed to get the maiden done on my Beaufighter today. Went really well, flies really nice and a peach of a landing!

Futura57
As the subject of its own thread (which may not be everyone's cup of tea), this is still technically my new model, especially having had its maiden flight yesterday. Manish Chandrayan
If I am allowed to post pictures of C/L models. Two pictures of recently completed Junior Ringmaster. Engine is an MVVS .12. A quite heavy engine and one that requires pressure feed to run right. Something that I discovered yesterday when I wanted to fly it for the global Ringmaster flyathon. Have changed the engine now to an OS 15 FP and have saved around an ounce of weight. About half an ounce lighter engine and removed half an ounce from tail weight. Hope to fly it next weekend

extra slim
OK, so for those of a nervous aesthetic disposition look away now, as it aint no stunner.. However, this design has been in my dad and my fleet for probably 40 years, as it is IMO one the best bang for buck, best flying, neutral well behaved models I have ever flown. It has taught people to fly, screwed around in pylon races, and done a B cert. The model is called a Scat Cat, and is a US Q500 design pylon racer. However, we discovered, with a few design mods, like enlarging the fin, adding a rudder, and making a light built up back end, it made a great low wing model for all occasions, powered by a decent 25-32 IC. Below is the latest incarnation, coming in at 2lbs 15 ¼ oz, and powered by an OS 25 FSR, it is perfect setup for all out fun.

Richard Harris
This is a remake of a very successful autogyro I designed 10 years ago. The original Whippit was made from EPP, as this material is hard to come by these days I opted for wood. As it turns out it looks nothing like the original, its only taken a week to throw together so a very quick build ( the blades I already had). I managed to pop out on one of my dinner breaks last week to undertake the maiden of the Whippit X which went well. Just a little fine tuning to do when the weather allows.
Glenn Ryan
I'd love to do an Autogyro but I'd be to worried about losing orientation.

Don't worry, you would have crashed it before it went out of sight.🤢

leccyflyer
My latest warbird pictured a couple of days ago by lensman Derek Robertson. She's a Hobbyking Grumman Hellcat, which comes in the white, red and gold livery of Reno Racer Lil' Nugget, but which I've refinished out of the box as JV131, an 800 Squadron Hellcat 1, as embarked on HMS Emperor during the D-Day landings. All markings masked and airbrushed, which was a bit of a job - have yet to add the light weathering, but had the opportunity of a maiden flight and took it. The model is very rapid with the recommended 4s1p 2200mah lipo and will loop easily on less than 1/3rd throttle.

leccyflyer
Here's my other invasion-striped Grumman - a cute mini SEMFF profile depron Wildcat, passed on to me recently by my pal Bob Davidson. This smaller than usual SEMFF model, at 22" span, uses a smaller 10g pole and stator motor, 5x3" prop and tiny 3s1p 400mah lipo. Looks really cute just pootling around the sky. Frank Day
After the hoohah earlier in the year that transpired to be an attempted FB rip off that saw a box of "firewood" rather that a foamie Vampire sitting on my doorstep, I picked up a Canadian for £10 with spare wings. Picked up a spare horizontal from HK Global. Noticed the V3 had appeared a couple of weeks ago and went to HK UK but was only available to pre order for end November, placed an order then checked Global who had some left bought one and it arrived 4 days later, with a small voucher it landed in £30 cheaper than the UK price and no ransom from Fedex. Global and USA all now sold out and wouldn't be surprised if our date slides and they refill the other two warehouses. Its resting until I clear a few jobs, then a splosh of clearcoat.
leccyflyer
First outing for my finally completed Flair Beaufighter yesterday. NO maiden flight as the dolly was just too small to allow clearance for the props - hope to remedy that today and get the Beaufighter in the air shortly. Edited November 4, 2024 by leccyflyer Wrong picture inserted.

leccyflyer
Thanks Chris - the maiden went very well indeed. The new dolly worked perfectly and the Beaufighter flies like a dream. Have already shared some of Derek's pictures on the daily flying thread, but as the Beau is my latest I'll pop a few in here as well.
